Sandra Leitch, Police Officer Sandra Leitch is a police officer diagnosed with severe, treatment-resistant PTSD. After conventional treatments failed, she found healing through psychedelic-assisted therapy. Now legally accessing MDMA with authorization from Health Canada’s Special Access Program, Sandra advocates for safe, legal access to psychedelics for first responders and others living with trauma. David Fascinato, Veteran David Fascinato is a veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces who served as a Psychological Operations Specialist, including a deployment to Afghanistan in 2010. After facing challenges with mental health and moral injury, he co-founded Team Rubicon Canada, helping veterans find purpose through service. Until late 2024, David served as CEO of Heroic Hearts Canada, a charity he founded that supports veterans and first responders in accessing alternative mental health treatments, including psychedelics
Dr. Jeff Morley, Registered Psychologist, Retired RCMP Dr. Jeff Morley is a Registered Psychologist, and Board Certified Expert in Traumatic Stress. Jeff is also a retired police officer, having served 23 years with the RCMP. In his practice Jeff works almost exclusively with first responders and military. Jeff has had a long interest in different psychedelic medicines and psychedelic-assisted therapy for treating PTSD
Gordon Hurley, Special Forces Veteran Gordon Hurley is a former member of the Canadian Special Forces with over a decade of service. After leaving the military, he dedicated himself to supporting veterans and first responders in their mental health and recovery journeys. Drawing on his own experiences with operational stress and transition, Gordon now advocates for the responsible use of psychedelic-assisted therapies to help those struggling with trauma find healing and purpose beyond service
Host: Francesco Kment, MAPS Canada Volunteer, Registered Psychotherapist Francesco Kment, MA, RP, CCC (he/him) is a psychotherapist working in private practice and addictions rehabilitation, specializing in trauma, PTSD, addictions, and psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy. His approach integrates mindfulness, harm reduction, and evidence-based modalities to help clients cultivate resilience and purpose. Francesco also serves as a researcher, focusing on psychedelic medicine access, drug policy reform in Canada, and veterans mental health.
