Talk abstract

Psychedelic use is growing in popularity, and despite recent policy developments in Canada, Australia, and a number of US states, the majority of psychedelic use continues to take place in underground settings with an unregulated drug supply. Nonetheless, many psychedelic consumers report significant beneficial outcomes as well as potential harms. The Global Psychedelic Survey is a comprehensive international study of naturalistic psychedelic use that aims to translate the experiences and expertise of the psychedelic community into data that can inform international policy developments and improve safe use and access. This presentation will share the public health-related outcomes from GPS 2023, and provide a sneak-peak at GPS 2025, which will launch in Spring 2025.
