Description and Learning Objectives

Uncover the intriguing history of psychedelic research in Canada in "Flashbacks: A historical overview of psychedelic research and Canada’s contributions" led by Professor Erika Dyck. In this first seminar of the MAPS Canada School of Psychedelics series, Psychedelics in Canada: Past, Present and Future, we will delve into the origins of psychedelic research, its historical context and impact, and the shaping of popular understanding of psychedelics and its influence on today's studies. Dr. Dyck invites Thomas Hartle, Canada's first 21st century patient to receive psilocybin mushroom therapy for his end-of-life anxiety to share his insights about this treatment
